Flawless Algemy

Flawless Algemy is a slight variation to Algemy that results in an entirely new set of puzzles.

The basics are exactly the same: Fill the board with colored gems such that no cell is empty, no gems illuminate each other, and each target is lit by the appropriate combination of gem colors. The change is what an “appropriate combination of gem colors” is. In Flawless Algemy, the target color must be EXACT.

For example, an orange target can be successfully lit by, among other combinations:

  • one red gem and one yellow gem
  • one orange gem
  • one red gem, one yellow gem, and one orange gem
  • two red gems and two yellow gems

All of the cases above have an identical number of red and yellow components. However, an orange target CANNOT be lit by, say, two red gems and one yellow gem, because the numbers of red and yellow components are unequal in that case.
